Location, Antique Shops and Gourmet Restaurants:

Located just 16 miles east of Estes Park on US Highway 36, the Inn is an ideal spot for people wishing to experience Rocky Mountain National Park during the daytime but avoid the Estes Park traffic, noise and crowds in the evening and retreat to the quiet, relaxed setting of the Inn a few miles away. It also offers a perfect chance to explore the many antique shops of nearby Lyons and sample some of the area's famous gourmet restaurants. Nearby the Inn are located European, German, Mexican, Cajun, Polish and French gourmet restaurants, along with two new other specialty restaurants scheduled to open in early 2002. Also Boulder is only 20 minutes away.

Hiking:

The Inn now borders what will soon be one of the most popular open space areas in Colorado--the Hall Ranch! A wildlife haven, it contains nearly 60 different mammals, including Abert's squirrels, rabbits, prairie dogs, marmots, raccoons, red and gray foxes, deer, coyotes, black bears, elk and mountain lions. You may also see golden and bald eagles, red-tailed hawks and mountain chickadees. The grasslands, shrublands, woodlands, forests, cliffs and canyons you view while taking the hiking, biking and equestrian trails make it an unforgettable experience. Additionally, short hikes to the top of our mountain for great views and a nearby river stroll to a local reservoir enhance your hiking experiences.

Bird Watching:

At the Inn, you will often see hummingbirds a few feet away from your front door as they drink from the dangling feeders. The area around the Inn is known for its aviary diversity; as many as 39 different kinds of birds have been spotted at the Inn by our guests.
